GPs and other health professionals
This learning hub is intended for use by oral health professionals, although it contains information about prevention and early detection that may be of interest. Recently, DHSV (Dental Health Services Victoria) partnered with RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) and developed specific learning resources for General Practitioners to help them identify people at risk of oral cancer and ensure timely referral. GPs registered with RACGP can access the learning module Oral Cancer: Prevention, early detection and referral and earn CPD credits.
The oral cancer screening and prevention program is led by Dental Health Services Victoria and funded by the Department of Health under the Victorian Cancer Plan. For information about the program, visit the DHSV website.
